Wow. One more month! Can you believe that in one month I will put the word "year" onto her age?! And of course, there will be posts about her BIRTHDAY!!
11 months have seen a lot of ACTION!
Lily LOVES to walk now. When I went to pick her up yesterday, she walked to me. No being picked up or even crawling. She walked from behind the couch and all the way to the door, where I was standing. WALKED! Wow! It was great!! And so adorable!
She loves food still. She definitely prefers finger food although I can't think of anything new she's been eating. She still enjoys hot dogs, grilled cheese (her fav!), bananas, strawberries, cheerios/puffs, bread, peaches, and she's definitely into fruit more than veggies. She will occasionally let me feed her baby food but the majority of it has to be dipped into a fruit (bananas, applesauce, etc) for her to eat it. ESPECIALLY if it is a meat/gravy combo. She's not big on those but I am because of the protein.
She's enjoying her books and quieter toys (especially the open/close toy at my parents' house). She still likes music but can happily sit for longer periods of time looking at books and her plastic eggs from Easter.
Speaking of Easter, we celebrated her first Easter here in town with my side. Everyone loved watching her take a couple steps (they should see her now!).
Lily had a visit from her other grandparents, Aunt Liz and cousin Will. We went to the park and she enjoyed (?) her first trip down the slide with Daddy. She also got to go on a swing with both parents.
She has also enjoyed her first swing in a baby swing after she enjoyed her first baseball game.
Lily can now ring doorbells. She gets to press the one at daycare every morning. She really likes it and would ring it over and over if I'd let her.
She can also turn off lights. Yes, we might have created a monster with this and the doorbell, but considering all of them are high, we don't have to worry about her getting to them any time soon. She really likes to do the lights though if we let her.
Her size hasn't changed much. She's still skinny, she can easily fit into her 9 month clothes but they are starting to get short in the legs. But she can also fit easily into her 12 month shirts (pants can be a little loose). Her feet are growing though. But she has chubby feet (sooo cute!) and so some shoes are tight because of that.
Her hair texture is changing. It's starting to curl too. The back of her head, from laying down and the texture, is always sticking up off her head. It's cute but definitely unmanageable.
She smiles ALL the time! I love it. She laughs a lot too.
She loves to make sounds. She makes "ow" sounds and combines various combos of it... yesterday she went "wow," "ow," and a bunch of other sounds with it. She makes s sounds too.
She POINTS at everything! So when she does, we name what she's pointing at. Some times its a toy, other times a tree or invisible person (or ghost...).
She likes to cuddle every once in awhile. She does this more when she's tired.
She enjoyed her first tractor ride last weekend. It was fun!!
