My baby is 13 months!!!
We just bought size 4 diapers, so once we're done with the size 3 diapers, we'll make the switch. She's a skinny baby, but long and lean still.
She LOVES fruit. All kinds too - blueberries, cherries and black raspberries are the newest favs, but she still enjoys peaches (not a huge fan of fresh yet, but they weren't the sweetest), strawberries, bananas, and grapes.
She's eating well. She still likes her grilled cheeses, hot dogs, and now bologna. She's also eating chicken nuggets and french fries. Friut is her favorite and veggies are kind of hard to get in her. She's totally off baby food, although we still have some jars that every once in awhile, I try to feed her (especially the veggies). She also still loves her yogurt bites (from the baby food section, so I guess she's not totally off). Crackers, Cheeto puffs, and bread are also popular. Cheese isn't a favorite but she'll try it once in awhile. Last night I called her my French girl because she likes fruit and bread (just need the cheese part to really be French).
She has switched over to Whole Milk just fine, as long as it's warm. She wants it from her bottle though, not a sippy cup. She'll take her water from the skippy cup, and juice too. So she might be like Mommy and want her bottle for awhile... but she's just 13 months, not 3 years... so we'll let her for awhile.
She isn't a fan of sweets, although she did eat a few bites of my mom's gooey butter cake (the cake part). She didn't want the ice cream, peach pie, or chocolate she's been offered.
Going to a restaurant is beginning to get HARD! She wants to run around as soon as she's done and will get loud (not really a scream, but close!) when she wants it. So last night, while out with two of my best friends, I had to leave the table and walk around in circles with her - A LOT. I should get a pedometer to see how much she walks.
She's sleeping pretty well lately. The food she eats helps - real food, no baby. She'll sleep at least 8 hours at night before waking up (usually) and then she'll take a nap a couple hours after waking up and it usually lasts 2-3 hours. This has been a great time for me to get homework and cleaning done. She'll some times take a nap in the afternoons but isn't a terrible little girl if she doesn't (although some times it's super obvious she's exhausted and running on steam).
She has 9 teeth and still working on the other three molars. They aren't causing as much pain right now, but whenever they try to break through is a totally different story!
She loves her toys. She especially loves the toys that make sounds, but is also perfectly content with toys that don't (especially her stacking blocks and things that go in and out). She also found out that paper towel rolls can be fun to roll out and put all around her. She's really getting good at stacking two or three blocks on top of each other, which at that point she wants to smack the tower over.
She loves my phone, so we gave her my old phone when I got a new one. She instantly turned it on and even took a picture with it! She's a technology kid!
Speaking of technology, she LOVES to press buttons on the remote, computer, XBox and Wii. We are really working on this, especially when it comes to the XBox and Wii as they are expensive (so is the computer but she isn't turning it on and off repeatedly).
She's "speaking" more. She makes "sentences" and they are adorable. A lot of the time they are in whispers but that makes it so much cuter. She also knows words - momma (and sometimes mommy), dadda, "doo" (dog), "cah" (cat), "uh oh", and some times an "oh dahh" which we're trying to turn into "oh dear" because it sounds similar. She can say a few and acknowledges a lot more - when people are around, she's getting better at looking at them if you say their name (especially my parents, brother and his girlfriend).
She loves the dogs and cats. She'll scream a happy scream when she sees Rocky (the cat) and even Taz lets her pet her. The dogs let her touch them more, especially Zoey. She's fallen into Zoey, laid on her, plays with her, pets her, kneeds her, screams at her and Zoey just takes it in. I knew Zoey would be great with her!! Rugby is a little nervous but I really think it's because we've made him that way by telling him to move and being nice. He's just so big. However, he enjoys the food she gives him from her highchair and has let her pet him on numerous occasions. He's getting better but doesn't like her walking up to him and surprising him.
Lily loves music and is starting to dance. She waves her arms around and gets this giddy smile. She'll clap along with music or TV if they are clapping too.
She's still such a happy girl. She smiles all the time! She also sticks out her tongue a lot, which is so adorable!! She does it when she's really happy.
